If it concerns $, the Business Affairs Office can handle it!
Come to us when you need help with anything from tuition payments to vending machine malfunctions. Here are some of the things we can help you with:
Tuition Payments
-
There will be a $50 late charge assessed to your account if you fail to pay or arrange for payment by the posted deadline. It's wise to refer to the
Academic Calendar to see the current deadlines. Also,
it is your responsibility to drop classes according to the college’s academic schedule. Just because you don't go to class doesn't mean you will be dropped. You can drop classes
online, at the
Records Office Room 104 of the Academic Technical Building or at our
Fort Knox Office.
- If you have a delinquent account, you will not be permitted to register for classes until your account(s) is in good standing. Delinquent accounts will be subject to an outside collection agency, and that could cost you additional fees! The methods of payment we accept are: Cash, Personal Check and Credit Card.
- You can make payments the ECTC Business Affairs Office or at the Fort Knox Education Center. You can also make payments by e-check or credit card online or you can mail in your payment.
- If you have a Third Party Authorization Letters for Tuition/Fees, you must turn it in to the Business Affairs Office by the listed due dates. Remember, if the amount issued doesn’t cover the full amount of your tuition, you are responsible for the difference.
- We do offer Tuition Payment Plans. You can find forms online at PeopleSoft Student Self Service or at the ECTC Business Affairs Office or at the Fort Knox Education Center. There is a $25 for processing fee. Please contact the Business Affairs Office for details.
Financial Aid Payments and Refunds
If you are receiving financial aid, remember, if the amount issued doesn’t cover the full amount of your tuition, you are responsible for the difference. Check your PeopleSoft student account under anticipated aid. Keep in mind that anticipated aid assumes you are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. If you are enrolled in less than 12 hours, anticipated aid will be less than shown. If you are receiving financial aid, you will be mailed a KCTCS Debit Card. Check your account to if funds are available or to see if a refund you are due is posted.
Scholarships
ECTC has numerous scholarship opportunities to help students offset the costs of attending college. Our scholarships are supported annually through donations by local corporations, businesses, civic clubs and North Central Education Foundation (NCEF).
ECTC publishes scholarship information describing the criteria for applying for scholarships. Students interested in applying for a scholarship should fill out an application and submit it to the Admissions Office.
If you are receiving scholarships from other organizations, you must submit your scholarship notification letters and your scholarship check(s) to the Business Affairs Office in Room 107 in the Occupational Technical Building (OTB). Once your scholarship is submitted, your award will be applied to your account.
Vending Machine Refunds
Students who lose money in the vending machines in either the Occupational Technical Building (OTB) or in the Regional Postsecondary Education Center (RPC) on the ECTC campus may request a refund from the Business Affairs Office. Vending machine refunds for all other buildings on campus are handled at the information desk, Room 108 of the Administration (ADM) building. Also, we would greatly appreciate it if you would report any machine malfunctions.
