ECTC Hosts Statewide Diesel Training

In early June Elizabethtown Community and Technical College hosted training for a group of automotive/diesel instructors from community and technical colleges and schools throughout the state. Bruce Amacker, from Turbo Training, conducted the training on Ford Powerstroke Diesel Engines 6.0 Liter, 6.4 Liter and 6.7 Liter to teach the participants to trouble-shoot and repair highly popular light/medium duty diesel engines. The training covered model years 2000 – 2011. Bob Swope Ford in Elizabethtown donated a vehicle for the college to use during the training.

“This training by Turbo Training was a great opportunity for KCTCS and Area Technology Center instructors to learn more about the latest in diesel technology from highly qualified and skilled instructors,” said Les Pike, ECTC automotive/diesel program coordinator.
