We make every effort to assure the safety and security of students. We have a full staff of security officers who patrol the grounds, parking lots, buildings and walkways of our college every day. If you ever need assistance in a non-emergency situation, feel free to contact the security office at (270) 706-8703 and they will be glad to assist you.
Emergency Situations
In case of an emergency, always call 911 first; they are the local first responders. After you have called in your emergency, then call the Security Office at (270) 268-0610 (located on most entrances) during weekdays and (270) 307-8792 for nights and weekends.
Student Parking
Student parking at all of our campus locations is on a first-come basis, which means that there are no reserved parking spots and you will not need to purchase any kind of student parking permit. There are also designated areas reserved for visitor parking.
Reserved parking is available for disabled or handicapped students. Any person on campus who plans to park in disabled parking must acquire a college permit from the Office of Disability Services. You must produce a copy of your state registration form to receive a disabled parking permit.
Cars parked in disabled parking without a state tag and a college disabled parking tag are subject to ticketing and towing. Please note that some disabled parking spaces are reserved for “Wheelchair only.” If you are not a wheelchair user, please do not park in these designated areas. Vehicles that are parked in disabled parking without a state tag and an ECTC disabled parking tag are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner's expense.
Parking in roadways or fire lanes and blocking loading docks is prohibited. Parking is allowed only in authorized spots unless you are directed otherwise by campus officials. Also parking in a roadway or in areas next to any building that are marked as a fire lane is prohibited and may result in ticketing and fines.
Any vehicle inhibiting traffic flow, hampering fire protection, parked illegally in a reserved or handicapped space, blocking handicap access, blocking dumpsters, using a reported lost/stolen or forged/altered handicap or faculty/staff parking permit, designated tow away zones or has accumulated three or more unpaid parking citations is subject to immediate tow and impoundment.
