Academic Resources for Students

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College faculty, staff and administration are committed to your success and growth as a student. We have several resources that might assist you in your journey.

Not yet enrolled in classes?

Adult Basic Education, located in your county of residence, teaches basic skills to start or continue your education.

If you don’t have ACT scores, or transfer work that includes Math and English, you’ll need to take the COMPASS from our Assessment Center. It’s free! Not sure what to expect? Here are some sample questions.

Check out our Online Student Orientation, or you can sign up GE 100 - Introduction to College (1 credit hour) or GE 101 - Strategies for Academic Success (3 credit hours ) to learn more about taking college classes.

If you already have computer knowledge, such as Microsoft Office 2007, Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and the Internet? You might want to consider the IC3 exam for testing out for computer literacy (required class for many degrees). For information about receiving credit for prior learning, contact the Records Office.
