  • Library Book Catalog - use this catalog to find out which print books we have on our shelves. You need a library card in order to check out books.
  • eBook Collection (EBSCO) - searchable database of electronic books. Over 40,000 books covering most topics. Log in with your KCTCS user ID and password to the proxy server to log in if you are searching off campus.

Magazines and Journals

  • EBSCO - Business Source Premier. Business research database containing full-text articles from more than 2300 journals. 
  • EBSCO - Enhanced Business Searching Interface. Extensive company profiles for most major companies.
  • GALE - Academic OneFile. Covers all topics but includes many full-text trade journals on topics such as management, finance, accounting and more.

NOTE: log in with your KCTCS user ID and password to the proxy server if you wish to search the EBSCO and Gale databases off campus.


  • NewsBank - access to hundreds of newspapers around the U.S., including numerous Kentucky newspapers.
  • ProQuest - Courier-Journal - choose Newspapers from the list of databases. The Courier-Journal is the only newspaper in the Newspapers collection.
  • Gale - Academic One File. Includes the full-text of the New York Times

  • Dun & Bradstreet. Extensive company information, articles, resources. Many features are available only to subscribers but there are plenty of free resources as well.
  • Giddy's Web Resources in Finance. Ian Giddy/New York University. Comprehensive list of important finance links in the following categories: General Finance and the Economy; Financial Markets; Company, Fund and Investment Research; Corporate Finance; Risk Management; International Finance; Newspapers and Magazines; Government Resources; Financial Associations; Online Learning
  • Hoover's. Directory of company information; search by company name; browse alphabetical listing of company names; browse by geography and industry. Entries provide company name and location, key personnel, financial information, news. Much of the information is available only to subscribers.
  • U.S. Small Business Association. Provides tools; resources such as forms, laws, regulations and publications; detailed and thorough small business planner.
  • ThomasNet - comprehensive directory of product and service suppliers; browsable by category; searchable by product and state
