Books

Library Book Catalog. Use the book catalog to locate print books in the ECTC library. You must have a library card to check out books. If you do not have a library card bring a photo ID to the circulation desk and we will issue you a library card.

The ECTC library uses the Library of Congress classification system to assign each book a unique call number. When you are searching the book catalog, make sure that you write down the CALL NUMBER for any book you wish to look at. Letter ranges on the ends of the shelf units will tell you on which row your book should be located. Most books dealing with social work and sociology will be located in the HM through HV ranges.

You can also use the book catalog to locate books owned by the other KCTCS libraries. You can request that books be sent to the ECTC library via Interlibrary Loan.
