Registration Information

Before You Can Register

There are just a few things you'll need to do to be ready to register for classes. Here's what we will need:

  • Fill out an online Application for Admission - Whether you are a new, transfer or readmit student, you will need to fill out the application. This includes students who have previously taken courses while still enrolled in high school.
  • Provide High School Transcript - You will need to contact your high school and request an official high school transcript, or if you have completed your GED, we will need your completion transcript/diploma.
  • Provide College Transcript(s) - We need your official transcript(s) mailed to us from all previously attended colleges, unless it was a KCTCS college. Visiting students (students who will attend ECTC for one semester only and then return to their home college) do not have to send official transcripts, but we do require a letter of good standing from your home college.
  • Take the  COMPASS Placement Test - You will be required to take the test unless you have an ACT score of at least 18 in English, 20 in reading and 19 in mathematics, or if you have completed a college level English or math course.  For more information on the ECTC placement policy, visit the Placement Testing page.
  • Complete New Student Orientation. You MUST complete the Online New Student Orientation (ONSO) or attend one of the Orientation Information Sessions before you will be allowed to register for classes.

Register for Classes

Once you have completed the steps listed above, you will be able to register for classes by scheduling a one hour appointment with the Advising Center. During your appointment you will meet one-on-one with an advisor who will discuss your career goals, schedule your classes, provide additional information, and answer any questions you may have. This is your opportunity to get all your questions answered!

To schedule your new student advising appointment call (270) 706-8695.

Do not wait!  Appointments fill up fast!

Programs with Selective Admission

Some programs have a selective admission process that must be met prior to being accepted into the program. Admission into the Allied Health and Nursing program is based on selective admission criteria. You can visit our Programs of Study page for specific program requirements or you can contact the program coordinator, contact information is available on the program page, or the Career Counseling and Job Placement office for more information.
