The Administrative Office Technology program will prepare you to work in an office among people who use the newest technologies in word processing, electronic mail, desktop publishing, graphics, databases and spreadsheets.

What are my career choices?

Once you graduate, you may find work in a professional office, education, government, business or industry. You may work as an administrative assistant, office assistant, office manager or financial assistant. You'll help maintain the accurate flow of communication to customers on a daily basis. Additionally, you may also choose to sit for the Certified Professional Secretary Examination or Certified Administrative Professional Examination or Microsoft Office Specialists Certifications.

What classes do I have to take?

You will be required to take core of administrative office technology courses, technical electives and general education courses. You then apply the skills you acquire in an internship usually taken in your last semester.

Where do I start?

Apply for admission to ECTC to receive information from the Admissions Office about submitting your placement test scores (ACT or COMPASS exams) and to schedule a meeting with an advisor to register for your classes.
