MAT 146 Contemporary College Mathematics

Prerequisite

Successful completion of MAT 085 Intermediate Algebra, MAT 126, or equivalent as determined by math placement exam recommendation.

Description

Serves as a course in quantitative reasoning and problem solving intended for non-science majors. Includes voting methods, finance, population growth, and at least two additional topics chosen from: apportionment geometry, logic, probability and statistics, graph theory, number theory, game theory, and set theory. 3 credit hours.
