Allison Willoughby has lived in this region most of her life, and she doesn’t take the quality of life for granted. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has long contributed to that outstanding quality of life, she said.
That’s why she stepped up to serve on the ECTC Foundation Board. “It’s important for the community to realize there are needs not met by tuition and government funding, and it’s important the community understand the foundation can make the college an even better driving force for the region it serves,” she said.
Access to a quality, affordable education close to home is critical if the community is going to continue creating new opportunities and retain the region’s brightest talent, she added.
In addition to her role as general manager at the Brandenburg Communications Family of Companies, Willoughby is director and secretary of First Breckinridge Bancshares, director and executive vice president of First State Bank, chairwoman and vice president of West Point Bank, director and president of Meade Bancorp, director at River City Bank, Bank of Clarkson, Meade County Bank, Bedford Bank, American Bank and Trust in Bowling Green and Bank of Lexington.
Willoughby also serves the region as a board member of the Knox Regional Development Alliance and Baptist Health Foundation Hardin.
She and her husband, Dennis (Dray), live in Irvington and have two sons and five (soon to be six)
grandchildren.
