Hanna Yun’s dedication to strengthening partnerships and communities was apparent through her key role in establishing the sister city relationship between Seosan City, South Korea, and Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She shares her Korean heritage with Elizabethtown residents to help connect the two cultures.
Her commitment to strong partnerships is a leading factor in her decision to serve on the ECTC Foundation Board.
“ECTC plays a key role in workforce development, community growth, and the personal success stories of countless individuals. ECTC is not just a college—it’s a cornerstone of our community’s future.”
Yun knows the power of education and has seen firsthand its impact on individuals and communities.
“I joined the ECTC Foundation Board because I believe deeply in the power of education to transform lives and communities,” said Yun. “Since moving to Elizabethtown 33 years ago, I’ve seen how essential education is to our future. Investing in students is key to a strong and thriving nation.”
Yun is a dynamic force in the community, serving in multiple roles. She is the Director of South Korean Relations with the City of Elizabethtown and a Korean Culture and Language Instructor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Yun is also a Certified Medical Interpreter with Catholic Charities of Louisville and Chair of the Korean Associations USA Presidents Committee.
She and her husband, Dr. John Yun, live in Elizabethtown and have three children.
