Vice President/General Manager, Swope Hyundai Genesis of Elizabethtown

Jennifer Swope calls community life the heartbeat of her family, and when it comes to getting involved and giving back, she doesn’t know any other way.

"Given my community spirit and view of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College as a leader for enriching the community, joining the ECTC Foundation Board was a perfect fit", she said.

“Time is important and I want to be sure I’m spending time where it matters,” she said. “We need to ask ourselves what we can do to make sure our community stays vibrant and is a place people want to be. ECTC is the center of that and creates opportunities to keep our people here.”

Swope, a graduate of Bellmont University in Nashville, loves the car business. In fact, at 14, she started her first job in the business — cashier and receptionist at Bob Swope Ford. She worked at a dealership in Nashville for a decade before returning to Central Kentucky to rejoin her family’s business.

She serves as a board member for the Kentucky Automotive Dealers Association, co-hosts a weekly Clubhouse room discussing women in automotive, and is involved with Heels Together. Swope lives in Bardstown with her two children.
