Having taught math at the college for nearly 40 years, Linda Howard understands the positive impact the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Foundation can have on students and the community.

“The Foundation is important in that it will provide support and the necessary resources to assist the college in meeting the ever-changing needs of the region,” she said.

Howard began her career at ECTC in 1981 teaching math, and retired in 2020 after serving as a Professor of Mathematics from 2012-2020. During her time teaching, she received numerous accolades from her peers and students, such as teaching awards from Western Kentucky University (2013), ECTC Student Government Association (2012, 1992, 1988, 1983), University of Kentucky Alumni Association (1992), and North Central Education Foundation (1989). She has held many leadership roles at the college, including as Division Chair from 1993-2001 and 2004-2012.

“Joining the ECTC Foundation board will allow me to be a part of an organization that will improve our community and the lives of people who live in our community,” Howard said. “The goal is always to make lives better.”

Howard continues her work at ECTC tutoring and supporting students. She lives in Elizabethtown.
