{"id":185,"date":"2022-04-28T19:45:10","date_gmt":"2022-04-28T19:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ectc.kctcsstage.wpengine.com\/?post_type=board_members&#038;p=185"},"modified":"2022-05-02T20:27:02","modified_gmt":"2022-05-02T20:27:02","slug":"brian-robinson-2","status":"publish","type":"board_members","link":"https:\/\/ectcforbetterlives.com\/board_members\/brian-robinson-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Brian Robinson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>Brian Robinson<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3>Nucor Steel Brandenburg<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When Brian Robinson began serving as controller at Nucor Steel Brandenburg in 2019, he immediately realized the connection between the company\u2019s success and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cECTC is connected to the communities and making sure we have teammates available to expand manufacturing in Kentucky,\u201d Robinson said. \u201cWe\u2019re adding 400 careers in Brandenburg. ECTC is doing a great job of looking ahead and ensuring people can train for those careers close to home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of Nucor\u2019s initial announcement to locate in the region, the team began developing a relationship with the college to support its workforce needs. He saw joining the ECTC Foundation as an opportunity to support workforce development and building a pipeline of skilled manufacturing employees for the future. He hopes to see the region, Nucor and the college grow together in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having worked with Nucor since 2013, Robinson\u2019s work as controller includes accounting, purchasing, human resources, information technology and legal. Prior to joining Nucor, he worked in the chemical and pulp and paper industries.
