ECTC Offers 12-Week and 8-Week Class Schedules;
New Classes for Fall Semester
Students who prefer to complete their course work in a shorter time may take advantage of shorter term 12-week and 8-week scheduling at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. These options provide more time for students to file for financial aid and prepare for the beginning of classes. Students who are currently enrolled also have the opportunity to add classes to their schedules this semester. By taking 15 credit hours per semester, students can be eligible for the 15-to-Finish Scholarship.
Registration is under way for both the 12-week session, which begins Sept. 10, as well as the eight-week bi-term classes, which will start on October 10. General education classes that apply toward a transfer Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree will be available.
Students also have the option of registering for online Learn on Demand (LOD) classes, which start every Monday for 10 weeks. Learn on Demand is an online program that allows students the greatest flexibility within a semester. Students can start classes for the first 10 weeks in the semester, and they can complete them anytime before the end of the semester. This self-paced option is a great opportunity for many students who need or want the flexibility of online learning. More than 30 classes are offered, including classes in accounting, business, marketing, economics, biology, math, psychology, customer service and more.
A variety of classes on campus and online are available at the Elizabethtown campus, Fort Knox Center, Leitchfield and Springfield Campuses, and the new Meade County College and Career Center, including courses in: accounting, algebra, art, biology, business, chemistry, communications, computer-aided design, computer information technology, computerized manufacturing and machining, criminal justice, culinary arts, economics, electrical technology, engineering & electronics technology, firefighter skills, fluid power, geography, government, history, industrial safety, math, nurse aide, political science, psychology, sociology, and writing and more.
