FAFSA Week - For Personal Assistance with Your Financial Aid
ECTC Financial Aid Staff to Host “FAFSA WEEK” October 1 - 6
People who expect to attend college in the 2019-2020 academic year can file their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning October 1, 2018. In fact, all prospective students – even those just considering college – are encouraged to file the FAFSA as early as possible to benefit from some limited sources of college financial aid, like the CAP grant.
To assist students and parents or guardians with a process that can be daunting, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College financial aid staff is hosting “FAFSA WEEK” October 1 – 6. Financial aid experts will be available in Room 207 of the Regional Postsecondary Center (RPC) to assist students in completing the 2019-2020 FAFSA. Students should bring 2017 tax information for themselves and their parents (if the student is under age 24 or is married or has a child) as well as their and their parents’ FSA ID and FAFSA password, if available.
Monday through Wednesday, October 1 – 3; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, October 4; 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, October 5; 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday, October 6; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
There will also be an Information Session open to the public on Thursday, October 4 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in Room 212 (RPC).
No appointments are necessary for any of these times. Walk-ins are welcome!
All students should complete a FAFSA. Grants, loans and many scholarships are based on information provided by the FAFSA. The Work Ready Scholarship, among others, requires a FAFSA to be on file. Don’t miss out on financial aid and scholarship opportunities! Complete your FAFSA as soon as possible to be eligible for the most financial aid.
