Essential Skills Academy to Launch Nov. 8
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is launching the Essential Skills Academy on November 8, 2019. This is a partnership with the Goodwill Works program and the ECTC FYE (First Year Experience) program. The Essential Skills Academy is extensive training on soft skills needed in the workplace, how to network with potential employers, and professionalism employers look for in their workforce.
The academy students were selected through a competitive nomination and application process, as the students were reviewed and selected by a committee to participate based on their application packet. If selected it shows the students in the academy have gone above and beyond in an effort to grow as a professional. At completion, the benefits will be a win/win for the students, the employers, and an overall improved regional workforce.
To kick-off our first academy class of 2019 we are holding a brief press conference/academy students introduction on November 8, 2019, at 9:45 am, in the ATB building, room 100. We invite you to attend and support the ECTC Essential Skills Academy, as we support our local employers in providing them the best possible workforce.
