Fischbach Donates $15000 to University Center
Fischbach USA has announced a donation of $15,000 to support the development of a University Center at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
This investment will advance ECTC’s efforts to expand local access to bachelor’s degree programs that meet the growing needs of advanced manufacturers.
“Our business growth depends on being able to recruit an educated workforce that possess a broad range of skills,” said General Manager Kirk Chadwick. “It takes training in advanced manufacturing maintenance, engineering and other support functions like business administration, accounting, and information technology to operate a global manufacturing company like Fischbach. We believe that the University Center is crucial to recruiting talented employees with this expertise who have a desire to stay in our community.”
“ECTC is committed to meeting the needs of industry, not only with customizable training but through partnerships like this which build a direct pipeline between the college and high-wage careers,” said ECTC President & CEO Dr. Juston Pate. “This generous gift will help ensure advanced manufacturing in our region continues to thrive.”
ECTC recently announced new University Center partnerships with Eastern Kentucky University, Lindsey Wilson College, and Spalding University to offer local bachelor’s degree programs in business administration, nursing, human services, and criminal justice. All programs offered at the Elizabethtown campus of longtime ECTC partner Western Kentucky University that will also be offered as part of the University Center.
