Dr. Juston Pate Selected as New ECTC PresidentKentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Jay K. Box announced today the appointment of Dr. Juston Pate as president of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC).
Pate is an experienced leader who currently serves as provost at Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC). He recently served as interim president of Hazard Community and Technical College (HCTC). During his time at MCTC, Pate also served as chief academic officer, interim academic dean and associate dean of academics. Prior to joining MCTC, Pate was principal of Mason County Area Technology Center and served in various roles for the school district, including teaching there as well as Harlan County High School.
Dr. Pates broad range of experience will be an enormous asset to ECTC, Box said. Hes a proven leader who successfully led HCTC during his interim appointment. Hes a great fit for ECTC and the community.
Pate earned a doctorate in higher education leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville. He earned a masters degree in educational administration and a Rank 1 certificate in instructional leadership from Morehead State University; a bachelors degree in secondary English education; and an associate of arts degree from Southeast Community and Technical College.

Pate begins his duties as ECTC president on January 1.
