ECTC and McKendree University sign transfer agreement

A new agreement between Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and McKendree University will provide ECTC students with additional opportunities to earn bachelors and master’s degrees close to home.  On November 15, 2017, representatives of both institutions signed a Memorandum of Agreement that provides for seamless transfer for students who earn associate degrees in several programs including accounting, sport management, human resource management, marketing, and criminal justice.

McKendree University will accept up to 90 transfer credits from ECTC students, which will apply toward their 120-credit bachelor degrees. McKendree classes are offered on a monthly schedule, online and at the Radcliff campus. To accommodate working adults, the classes are typically held from 6 – 9:40 p.m. two nights a week.

In addition, ECTC transfer students are eligible for a 10 percent discount on McKendree University’s reduced tuition rate for Kentucky students.

“We are thrilled that our students have new, streamlined options for advancing their education,” said ECTC Provost Dr. Tiffany Evans. “They can continue their education at this excellent university with a convenient location and on a schedule that works for students who work.”

Dr. Melissa Meeker, Dean of McKendree Worldwide, added, “Students who choose to continue beyond their bachelor degrees will have the option to earn their MBAs with a specialization in Human Resources right here in Radcliff.  This option serves students, as well as the Army’s Human Resources Command at Fort Knox and other employers, very well.”

McKendree University currently works closely with Hardin Memorial Health to bring Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degrees to registered nurses employed with HMH, many of whom are ECTC graduates.

McKendree is accepting applications from ECTC students at apply.mckendree.edu.
