Caleb Riffle had a choice after high school – study welding or play baseball for a university.
“I’ve played baseball my whole life, but I was burnt out,” he said. “My grandpa was a welder, and I was always fascinated when I watched him work. I feel like it’s an art.”

ECTC Culinary Arts student Hailie Breeding recently was awarded the Chime Workforce Scholarship, earning $1,000 to put toward her education. The Chime Workforce Scholarship recognizes high-achieving college students who are pursuing career and technical educational opportunities. Breeding is one of only 200 students to earn the scholarship.
