Metallica Scholar: Nadeem Moulana

ECTC Metallica Scholar Nadeem Moulana has attended the college once before. He started in 2010 with the goal of studying mechanical engineering. He switched gears however, traveling and teaching school in Johannesburg, Atlanta and Louisville before returning to Elizabethtown and ECTC to study industrial maintenance.

“I didn’t expect to be coming back to school at age 35, but I like what I’m learning,” he said. “I hope to get a career out of it, but at the end of the day I’m gaining skills that I can use. I feel like I’m upskilling myself,” he said.

Moulana said that as a hands-on learner he is excited to come to class and work with the tools of his trade. He was selected as a Metallica Scholar for his hard work and dedication to his studies.

“This scholarship will definitely help me,” he said. “All I can say is I’m grateful.”
