
How to Apply
Who is Eligible?
To be admitted to the program, the student must meet the following requirements:
- Attend one of the following high schools: Larue County HS, Nelson County HS, North Hardin HS, Thomas Nelson HS, or Washington County HS.
- Be income-eligible as defined by the federal government and/or a potentially first generation college student (neither parent/guardian has completed a baccalaureate degree).
- Be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Have completed the eighth grade or have not yet completed the twelfth grade.
- Have an interest in science, technology, engineering, and/or math (STEM) degrees, majors, or careers.
Who can apply?
You should join the program and participate if:
- You are a high school student or in the eighth grade and are about to enter high school who wants to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- You would like to go to college but need some assistance on how to apply or qualify for college
- You are open to new, exciting experiences and friendships
- You are eager to learn and want to experience things only college can bring you
- Neither parent in the home has earned a bachelor’s degree; or
- Your income level does not exceed federal guidelines for the program
