New ECTC classes in Brandenburg start Aug. 14

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will offer new evening classes at its Meade County Center this fall, making college more accessible and convenient for students in Meade County and surrounding communities.

“The ECTC Meade County Center is a great way to offer more options to students,” said ECTC Workforce Development Liaison Mike Barbieri. “In-person classes in Brandenburg, as well as our online offerings, will help more local students find the flexibility they need to accomplish their education and training goals.”

Classes include Writing I (ENG 101) on Tuesdays, Introduction to Computers (CIT 105) on Wednesdays, and General Psychology (PSY 110) on Thursdays. All classes are 6-8:45 p.m. Aug. 14-Dec. 10. Classes are located at the Meade County College and Career Center (MC4), adjacent to Meade County High School. The college’s Meade County offerings could expand in the Spring 2024 semester.

“This is an exciting time in Meade County, and we’re excited to grow alongside the community,” Barbieri said.

Students in Harrison, Crawford and Perry County, Ind., also are encouraged to consider classes at ECTC’s Meade County Center. Residents of these counties qualify for in-state tuition for classes offered at the center as well as ECTC’s online classes. ECTC offers the lowest tuition in Kentucky ($186 per credit hour).
