$350 - Electrical Licensing Test Prep

Over 90% fail this test, but with additional instruction you can be successful your first try.  This 40-hour prep course will assist those taking the Journeyman or Master Electricians' exam and is designed for those currently working in the electrical field.  You should have a basic understanding of electrical principles.  The test will cover the 2020 edition of the NEC.

$99 - Computer for Beginners Level I

You'll be introduced to the features and uses of computer hardware and software.  The course presents an overview of computers and their history, and discusses the various hardware components, operating systems and application software types with which beginning computer users should become familiar.  You will learn how to use a mouse, e-mail, and send/open attachments, make airline reservations, find a job and more.

If you know the basics of how to operate a computer and navigate the internet, it is time to go to the next step.  This class will introduce you to file management, advanced Internet searches, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.  It will also explain other software that is available and the benefits of each software product.  You need only have a basic understanding of computers.

Adobe InDesign is just one of the applications offered in the Creative Cloud Collection.  InDesign is one the most popular desktop publishing application on the market today.  Many individuals and businesses use the app to create professional-quality letterhead, business cards, brochures, forms, annual reports, posters and much more.  If you have obtained a licenses for use but don’t exactly know where to start, then this class is for you!  In the class, you will begin to discover the many features available for producing usable documents. This course is designed as an introduction, but the instructor can also offer hands-on assistance to your specific needs that you can apply directly to your professional development.

$40 - Teenage Driving 101

Do you feel confident that your teenager can drive safely?  Do they understand traffic laws, what to do in an emergency, how to jump a car, change a tire, or what to do if stopped by the police?  This course is designed for new, teenage drivers and their parents.  The course will help students gain knowledge of traffic law, licensing law, automobile safety, and other topics.  For parents, the course will facilitate a conversation between you and your new driver to help foster a safe, responsible understanding of driving and automobile use in the Commonwealth.  All instruction is classroom based.

$75 - So I Have This Fancy Camera - Now What?

This course is a beginner’s class in understanding the settings and features on your camera and how to put them to work for you.  We will walk through the settings and options on your camera and explain how they work together, to produce share worthy photos, you created and can be proud of.  The class is not designed to make you a professional photographer, but rather to ease some of the frustrations in trying to understand what some of those buttons and knobs do.  If you have been photographing in “Auto” and want to take the plunge into learning the “Manual” settings/options on your camera, this class is for you.

$75 - Cooking and Canning

The Cooking and Canning class will cover the basics of preparing and preserving food by canning.  Also included will be training on creating and preserving your own sauces, salsas, jams, and jellies.  After the first class meeting, you will be asked to bring your own canning supplies and ingredients of your choice so that you will be able to take the completed personalized product home with you.

$110 - Serve Safe Refresher and Exam

ServSafe® Food Protection Manager refresher class and the certification test will be offered in one.  In the morning from 8am – 12pm, we will provide a 4 hour refresher course.  This 4 hour refresher course will consist of classroom training using ServSafe Manager Book, 7th Edition.  The cost includes the training, textbook, and certification test.  The book is provided upon registration and payment for the class. The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certification test will be given at the end of the training.  The exam is computer based, so basic computer skills are helpful for taking the online test.  Pre-registration is required.  A photo ID and an email address are also required.

$260 - Serve Safe Full Course and Exam

This class consists of comprehensive food safety training and certification for the restaurant industry.  This 16-hour course consists of classroom training using ServSafe® Manager Book, 7th Edition.  The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certification test is given at the end of the training.  The cost includes the training, textbook, and certification test.  The book is provided upon registration and payment for the class.  It is strongly recommended that you read the book before the training begins.  The exam is computer based, so basic computer skills are helpful for taking the online test.  Pre-registration is required.  A photo ID and an e-mail address are also required.
