You'll be introduced to the features and uses of computer hardware and software.  The course presents an overview of computers and their history, and discusses the various hardware components, operating systems and application software types with which beginning computer users should become familiar.  You will learn how to use a mouse, e-mail, and send/open attachments, make airline reservations, find a job and more.

If you know the basics of how to operate a computer and navigate the internet, it is time to go to the next step.  This class will introduce you to file management, advanced Internet searches, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.  It will also explain other software that is available and the benefits of each software product.  You need only have a basic Understanding of computers.

$600 - Electrical Licensing Test Prep

Over 90% fail this test, but with additional instruction you can be successful your first try!  This 40 hour prep course will assist those taking the Journeyman or Master Electricians exam and is designed for those currently working in the electrical field.  You should have a basic understanding of electrical principles.  The test will cover the 2017 edition of the NEC Code.

The Cooking and Canning class will cover the basics of preparing and preserving food by canning. Also included will be training on creating and preserving your own sauces, salsas, jams, and jellies. After the first class meeting, you will be asked to bring your own canning supplies and ingredients of your choice so that you will be able to take the completed personalized product home with you.

Have you ever wondered how to prepare your favorite dishes at home? Perhaps you would like to learn how to easily make dinner for yourself and friends; maybe you would like to bring a classic creation to your next office potluck; or maybe you’d like to make something for your next tailgate event. $99 - Money Smarts for Older Adults

Older adults are prime targets for financial exploitation both by persons that they know and trust and by strangers.  Elders who lose their life savings usually have little or no opportunity to regain what they have lost.  This course is designed by the FDIC and Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection to recognize and reduce the risk of elder financial exploitation.  Upon completion of this course you or your loved one will be better able to: Guard against identity theft, plan for possible loss of your ability to manage your finances, prepare financially for disasters and to learn how to protect yourself against different types of scams.
