Discussion
ACE Grant
- Ms. Tracy Woods and Ms. Jerisia Lamons provided Cabinet members with an overview of the Academic and Career Excellence Program. The ACE program is designed to increase retention, engagement, and academic success rates of those historically overlooked and underrepresented within higher education, especially males of African descent.
- By March 2023, five students joined the multicultural center and were interviewed by the success coach in order to receive services from the ACE program.
- Once students were recruited, they completed an 8-step process to accomplish their academic and career goals for the semester.
Advancement Position
- As the Institutional Advancement office has grown and expanded its number of donors and prospects, gifts, scholarships, endowments, and increased number of fundraising events. Dr. Stith discussed with Cabinet members the need for a donor relations specialist in the near future.
