Discussion

KCTCS for Kentucky

  • Tanelle Sawyer, with KCTCS, joined Cabinet
  • KCTCS for KY is an opportunity for Dr. Quarles to meet with President’s and their leadership to talk about what the local needs are in the area and data from all 16 colleges will be compiled into one comprehensive report.
  • Employers, workforce development boards, K-12, elected officials, non-profits, Chambers of Commerce, etc. will be invited to attend this discussion.
  • This event will take place before August 2026.

Marketing Update

  • Sarah Berkshire joined Cabinet to give an update on the Marketing unit.
  • Currently, this academic year, we have had 498 media hits.
  • Marketing priorities:
    • ECTC Grows, community connections
    • Student success stories
    • Student retention stories
  • Coming soon:
    • February 23-24 – Video/Photo shoots
    • March 31 – Going Pro
    • April - Community College Month
    • April 13-17 – Dual Credit week
  • Cabinet reviewed the KCTCS Campus Speech Policy

Equifax Data

  • Cabinet is exploring the possibility of obtaining data from Equifax from graduates to track post-graduate income, geographic location, etc.

Winter Storm

  • Campus is currently in the process of being cleared from snow and ice in the parking lots and walkways.

Grant Update

  • Dr. Megan Stith gave Cabinet an update on grants.
  • We typically request funds annually from the Julian Carver Foundation and this year we are focusing on our 3.0 journey internally with this request for this academic year.

ECTC Foundation Event for Faculty/Staff

  • Cabinet discussed a breakfast or luncheon for faculty/staff hosted by the ECTC Foundation, this event would likely occur the first Friday, April 24, after Giving Day 2026 on April 22.

Student Success Plan

  • During the next Cabinet meeting, Cabinet members will assign parties responsible for overall goals for the Student Success Plan and specific action steps will be decided during the Cabinet Retreat in late March.
