What is an AA Degree?
An Associate in Arts (AA) degree is designed for transfer to baccalaureate programs at colleges and universities. The AA degree consists of 60 credit hours and allows students to complete the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree.

An AA degree gives students options to pursue bachelor’s degrees in fields such as Communications, English, History, Psychology, Sociology, Theatre, and many others. Students can start at ECTC and transfer easily to any public university in Kentucky. ECTC students who transfer to universities do very well academically and many qualify for transfer scholarships.

The AA degrees include a substantial amount of general education courses and are designed to accommodate transfer. You can earn an Associate in Arts degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
