COVID-19 Update

Class schedule update from Dr. Juston Pate

By now you’ve heard the governor’s response to slowing the spread of COVID 19, which included college and university classes moving online. So, beginning November 30, 2020, all classes will be remote, except for those that can’t be completed online.

Decisions about specific labs and testing are being discussed and more information will be available soon from your instructors. If you need additional information about the college’s overall plan, please contact our Healthy at Work Director Whitney Taylor, or our Provost/Academic Dean, Darrin Powell.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. No one could foresee all the changes you’ve endured during this pandemic, and I appreciate your commitment to your education. I wish you good health and look forward to seeing you soon.

All ECTC Classes Start Remotely January 11

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will begin Spring semester classes on Monday, January 11. The first week of all classes will be conducted online. In-person instruction will begin Tuesday, January 19 (ECTC is closed Jan. 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day). Conducting the first week of class online is a precaution addressing a potential increase in COVID-19 after the holidays. The plan also minimizes last-minute changes and allows students, faculty and staff to successfully prepare for the start of the semester.

Students who have questions about their classes should contact their instructors directly.

“We thank our students, faculty and staff for their flexibility and understanding,” said Dr. Juston Pate, ECTC President/CEO. “No one could have foreseen all the changes caused by this pandemic, and I appreciate our students’ commitment to their education. I wish you good health and a successful semester.”

Students can still register for Spring classes that start later in the semester. Twelve-week classes begin February 8 and eight-week classes begin March 15. New students should complete the free application online at www.elizabethtown.kctcs.edu, then they can schedule an advising appointment any time at www.bit.ly/ectc-appt.
