  • A KCTCS Peer Team is looking at a unified advising process across the system.
  • A SharePoint site has been created for ECTC advising.
  • Our advising office is continually looking for ways to improve and streamline advising for new and current students.

Board of Directors Agenda, February 10, 2023

  • Cabinet members discussed items to be included on the February 10, 2023 Board of Directors meeting.

Morehead State University, Doctorate of Education Program

  • ECTC is collecting applications for faculty and staff interested in pursuing a doctorate of education at Morehead State University.
  • One name from each college will be submitted to KCTCS and KCTCS will cover the tuition, books, and fees through an invoice to the System Office from MSU for one accepted candidate per College and the System Office.

Family Scholar House Regional Support Specialist

  • Cabinet members discussed the addition of a Family Scholar House Regional Support Specialist and how the position will be funded.

Beacons of Light

  • Applications for Beacons of Light will be accepted until January 20, 2023.
  • The Beacons of Light ceremony will be held February 24, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Morrison Gallery of the James S. Owen building.

Provost/Chief Academic Officer Job Description

  • Cabinet members reviewed a draft of the Provost/CAO job description.
  • The Provost/CAO position will be posted February 1, applications will be reviewed March 1, and a campus-wide forum will be held for this position.
