Discussion
Registrar and Records Update
- Barnes and Noble will hold a graduation fair on March 1, 2023, March 13 will be the deadline to order a cap and gown.
- An email will go out to all students who are scheduled to graduate informing them of all graduation ceremony details.
- Graduation will be held at the James S. Owen building on May 8, and there will be 30-minute increments for groups to proceed through the line. In the event of rain, the back-up location will be in the Regional Postsecondary Center room 212.
- Students will not be required to purchase and wear a cap and gown for the ceremony.
Workforce Solutions Update
- Ms. Beth Cassity visited with Cabinet to update everyone on our work with the ARC program and the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP). Through these collaborations our goal is to provide education for high wage/high demand careers to those in addiction recovery.
Grant Update
- The goal of the FYE grant is to help with student success, to track retention, and graduation rates. The purpose of the grant is for institutions to implement new initiatives designed to increase retention, GPA’s and graduation rates and once the grant has ended these institutions can continue implementing the programs that have proved to be successful.
- In reviewing FYE 105 numbers, it has been shown that students who complete the FYE 105 course have a much higher success rate than students who do not complete the FYE 105 course.
PD Budget Proposal
- Ms. Megan Stith reviewed the sources of PD funds available and the requests that have been submitted at this time.
Work from Home Policy
- Cabinet members reviewed the revisions made to the Work from Home Policy and further discussed when this document will roll-out to faculty and staff.
Meeting adjourned at 11:21 a.m.
Respectfully submitted, Emily Allen (Executive Administrative Assistant)
