Discussion
Grants and Sponsored Projects Update
- Dr. Megan Stith gave Cabinet members an update on our active grants and sponsored projects.
- Looking to the future of grants, annual training for all PI’s, Project Directors, and Project Managers is going to be provided.
- An annual luncheon for sharing best practices will be offered.
- Those working within a grant will have access to the grant’s library.
Spooktacular Funding
- Cabinet members discussed several options to provide funding for the annual Spooktacular event with the intention of taking the financial burden from employees.
AACC Conference
- This year the American Association of Community Colleges Conference will be held in Louisville. Cabinet members have been asked to inquire within their department about any employee that may like to attend the conference, this will provide our employees with a national professional development opportunity.
Advising Update
- Dr. Corina Langford gave Cabinet members an advising update.
Graduation
- Student Affairs will investigate the number of students who qualify for graduation, but do not apply for graduation. Students who qualify for graduation, but do not apply will receive a phone call from someone within our Student Affairs department encouraging them to apply for graduation.
