HESI A2 Admissions Test
Starting the application cycle for Fall 2026, we will no longer accept Kaplan as the entrance exam. We will be transitioning to the HESI A2 Entrance Exam. This will be started for the testing cycle of November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 for an application date of April 1, 2026.
The HESI A2 Admission Test is a comprehensive, multiple-choice, online, proctored test that evaluates the basic reading, math, writing, and science skills of individuals seeking entry into a nursing program leading to RN licensure. The exam limit time is 3 hours.
You may take the HESI A2 Admission Test twice per application cycle, at least 30 days apart. Any additional scores taken during the application cycle will not be considered.
The test is taken in the ECTC Assessment Center by scheduled appointment only. Testing availability is limited so plan accordingly. Walk-ins are not allowed.
Students will need to email the testing center staff to reserve their spot within the testing date to ensure we have adequate room.
Email Judy Akers or Sharon Hays.
