HESI A2 Admissions Test
The HESI A2 Admission Test is a multi-question, multiple-choice, online, proctored test that evaluates the basic reading, math, writing, biology, anatomy & physiology, and critical thinking of individuals seeking entry into the ADN or the PN Program. The exam time is 3 hours. The cost for each exam is $65.00. If you miss your testing date, you will not receive a refund and will need to pay a new testing fee to register for a new date.

ADN HESIA2 Admission Test
HESI A2 testing dates are now listed under the "Allied Health HESI A2 Entrance Exam" on the Assessment Center website and have transitioned to a self-scheduling process. Students are no longer required to request a testing link, as all Allied Health programs have moved to HESI A2 testing.
October through December testing dates have been added for the Fall 2027 cohort, and additional testing dates will be posted as the Assessment Center continues to work through this transition.
As this is now a self-scheduling service, Nursing Program applicants must continue to follow program requirements. Students who do not achieve a passing score on their first attempt must wait 30 days before retesting and are expected to complete remediation using Evolve resources prior to their next exam.
While students may choose to take the HESI A2 more than the required number of times, the Nursing Program will consider only the first two exam attempts completed within the application cycle and will use the highest score earned from those attempts for admission consideration.
The minimum score required for admission consideration remains 75% or higher.
PN HESIA2 Admission Test
The HESI A2 entrance exam will be required if the ACT/SAT score is greater than 4 years or less than a 20 on the ACT or less than 1030 on the SAT, and a student must earn 70% or greater on the exam to be considered. This can only be taken 2 times per application. The test is taken at the ECTC Leitchfield Campus Assessment Center by appointment only. We will only accept a HESI A2 Entrance Exam score of 70 or greater.
