ECTC hosting transfer student supply drive

Published on Mar 25, 2025

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Cares Committee invites the public to support ECTC students who are transferring to a four-year college or university with “Pack for the Path: College Transfer Supply Drive.” Donations will be accepted April 7-25.

“The goal of this supply drive is to ensure that ECTC students can transfer without worry,” said ECTC Director of Enrichment and Engagement and ECTC Cares Student Subcommittee Chair Jerisia Lamons. “Every donation helps remove barriers and provides essential supplies so students can focus on their future, not their finances.”

Items requested include: laundry baskets, laundry detergent pods and dryer sheets, towel and washcloth sets, toiletries (travel-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant), school supplies (notebooks, pens, highlighters, sticky notes), reusable water bottles, microwaveable bowls and utensils, non-perishable snacks (granola bars, popcorn, instant noodles, etc.), power strips with charging ports, first-aid kits (bandages, pain relievers, antiseptic wipes), small gift cards for campus dining or grocery needs. Each student will receive a laundry basket full of items.

Community members are asked to donate new items at the following locations on ECTC’s Elizabethtown campus:

  • Academic Technical Building (ATB), Student Success HUB Hallway
  • Regional Postsecondary Center (RPC), outside Military and Veteran Services
  • The Student Center (STC), Robbins University Center
  • Collier Library

Donations also will be collected at the ECTC Springfield Campus at 160 Corporate Drive, Springfield, and ECTC Leitchfield Campus at 101 East Carroll Gibson Boulevard, Leitchfield.

“We take pride in looking after our students at ECTC,” Lamons said. “Together, we can make every transfer student’s journey smoother and more successful.”
