ECTC Giving Day set for April 16
Published on Apr 10, 2025
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s 2025 Giving Day will be held April 16 during Community College Month. The event will support college initiatives such as the Unstoppable Fund, which supports projects to help students reach their fullest potential; emergency funds for students and employees; and scholarships, among others.
“ECTC Giving Day is a chance for the community and our college family to come together to provide support to those who need a little extra help,” said ECTC Vice President of Advancement and ECTC and KCTCS Foundations Executive Director Dr. Megan Stith. “We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish collectively.”
Many of the funds have matching gifts, including a $1,000 match from Dr. John and Julia DuPlessis for the Unstoppable Fund; a $1,500 gift from Magnolia Bank when 15 donations are made to the Adult Learners Scholarship fund; and a $500 gift from Randy and Marilyn Ford when 10 donations are made to the Family Scholar House Student Emergency Fund. Plus, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Foundation is sponsoring gift matches for colleges that lead the system in giving goals, up to $4,000.
“We are so pleased with the level of interest and engagement we’ve already seen with this year’s Giving Day,” said ECTC Director of Philanthropy Chrissie Angell. “Thanks to generous donors, last year we raised more than $26,000 from 80 donors in seven states. We would love to have even more participation this year.”
