ECTC welcomes Jennifer Newton to advancement team
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has welcomed Jennifer Newton to its
advancement team as donor relations officer, strengthening the college’s efforts to
engage alumni, employers, donors and community partners throughout its service region.
Newton joins ECTC at a time of significant growth, including the expansion of the college’s Leitchfield Campus to meet evolving education and workforce needs in Grayson County. A Leitchfield resident and longtime community member, Newton will help deepen relationships between the college and the individuals, businesses and organizations that invest in student and community success.
“Jennifer brings both a strong connection to Grayson County and a genuine passion for building relationships,” ECTC Vice Chancellor of Advancement Megan Stith said. “As ECTC continues to grow our presence in Grayson County and invest in the future of the Leitchfield Campus, having someone who understands the community and can connect partners with opportunities to support our students will be incredibly valuable.”
As donor relations officer, Newton will work closely with ECTC supporters, alumni and community leaders to ensure gifts to the college and the ECTC Foundation are meaningfully recognized and responsibly stewarded. Her responsibilities include developing relationships with current and prospective supporters across the region and helping donors see the impact of their investments in ECTC students and programs.
Newton brings a diverse professional background in customer service, community outreach, communication and leadership. Prior to joining ECTC, she worked as a speech-language pathologist and owned Whoop-De-Do Design, a small business in Leitchfield. Those experiences provided her with a strong foundation in relationship building, communication and understanding the needs of individuals and families.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to connect people who care deeply about our communities with the transformational work happening at ECTC,” Newton said. “The college has an important role in creating opportunities for students and supporting the workforce needs of our region. I look forward to helping our donors and partners see how their support can make a meaningful difference.”
ECTC’s Leitchfield Campus expansion is part of the college’s continued investment in educational and workforce opportunities in Grayson County. The expansion will create additional capacity to respond to regional workforce needs, including growing opportunities in healthcare and other high-demand fields.
Outside of work, Newton enjoys spending time with family, watching her daughter play golf and collecting distinctive tablescapes and homeware.
