Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s beloved Toy Box Theatre has made its return, presenting a collection of stories from all around the world. Four morning performances will be offered for visiting schools, and an evening performance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, will be open to the public. Admission is $2 per person; all children age 3 and under are free. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) is recognizing eight alumni and two retired employees for their exemplary work in and outside of the community through the annual Profiles of Excellence celebration. Now in its 16th year, the Distinguished Alumni program has recognized academic, professional and humanitarian endeavors of 130 former students. Those recognized this year include Debra Childress, Diane Medley, Jon Kimberlain, Kenny Rambo, Kimberly Scarborough, Leroy Keeling, Makote Abe and Timothy Wells. Names and photos of this year’s honorees will join others in the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, on display in the atrium of the Regional Postsecondary Center on ECTC’s main campus.

Seven solar-powered charging tables have been installed near the Learning Resource Center, the James S. Owen Building and the Science Building, where students often study and enjoy the large green spaces on the 65-acre campus.  The workstations, which include bench seating, feature solar canopies and multiple outlet types. Students who have taken dual credit classes in high school have already lowered the cost of a college education. Now a new opportunity at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) will make earning their degree even more affordable. ECTC is introducing its new DC to Degree Scholarship and will begin accepting applications for Fall 2022 scholarships March 15.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) has made the 2022 list of Best Places to Work in Kentucky, announced by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) and ClearPath Mutual Insurance.
