What This Office Does

The Career Pathways Office prepares second-year students and graduates to transition successfully into the workforce by:

• Delivering structured career readiness programming such as resume workshops, mock interviews, and networking events tailored to local business needs.
• Assisting with the preparation of career materials, including customized cover letters and digital portfolios that employers can review for potential hires.
• Providing accurate wage and labor market information to help employers stay competitive and make informed hiring decisions.
• Managing employer engagement through Handshake streamlines connections with students for internships, part-time jobs, and full-time positions.
• Aligning academic programs with workforce needs, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills your industry values most.

How can You engage with ECTC Students?

1. Share Industry Insight: Join a career panel or participate in a classroom presentation to give students firsthand knowledge about your industry, workplace trends, career opportunities, and employer expectations while increasing awareness of your organization.
2. Provide Work-Based Learning: Host an intern, offer job shadowing, or create another work-based learning opportunity that gives students meaningful, real-world experience while helping you develop and evaluate future talent.
3. Share Job & Internship Opportunities: Post internships, entry-level positions, seasonal jobs, and other opportunities through Handshake to reach ECTC students and recent graduates.
