ECTC's First Generation Week celebrates the tenacity and dedication of first generation students, providing them space to make connections with one another as well as helpful campus and community resources.

Monday, November 6th
First-Gen Coffee and Conversation
Time: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Location: Success Hub, ATB 100-105
Mix and mingle over a light breakfast, connecting students to ECTC faculty and staff who identify as first generation.
Tuesday, November 7th
First-Generation Panel Discussion with Lunch
Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Location: Science Auditorium, SCI 128
Join virtually from our Springfield or Leitchfield campuses.
Hear from first-generation ECTC faculty, staff, alumni, and students, sharing their challenges and successes as first-generation college students and graduates. The presentation will follow a mix and mingle lunch with panelists and door prizes.
Wednesday, November 8th
Research Databases Workshop with Lunch
Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Location: JSO 112
Join first-generation faculty, staff, alumni, and students for a workshop designed to support the academic success of ECTC first-generation students. Led by the director of library services, the workshop will cover research databases and assist students in completing research for writing assignments. Lunch provided.
