Metallica Scholars

ECTC is thrilled to be a part of the Metallica Scholars Initiative, funded by Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation. The college joined the initiative in 2020. Since then, MSI has supported advanced manufacturing academic programs as well as the college’s Wherever I May Roam Truck Driving Academy and awarded $210,000 to the college to support students and enhance career and technical education. Central to ECTC’s Metallica Scholars program is the Metallica Scholars Scholarship, awarded to outstanding advanced manufacturing students each semester.

Created in 2019, the Metallica Scholars Initiative is a partnership between the band's All Within My Hands foundation (AWMH) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), a Washington, D.C.-based organization representing the country's more than 1000 community colleges. This major workforce education initiative provides direct support to community colleges to enhance their career and technical education programs. These programs provide skills and services to students who are looking to enter a traditional trade or other applied learning program.

• Automation, Industrial & Robotics Technology
• Electrical Technology
• Welding Technology
• Computerized Manufacturing & Machining
• Air Conditioning Technology 
• Computer Aided Drafting & Design
