Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Office of Cultural Diversity invites the community to attend the 2024 Multi-Cultural Fair, an event filled with international food, music, performers and more. The event, held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 in the courtyard of the James S. Owen building on the college’s main campus, is free and open to the public.

The Heartland Review Press invites high school and college students to register for a creative writing workshop with local poet Jan LaPerle. The workshop is 6 to 8 p.m. April 30 at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, James S. Owen Building, room 131.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Toy Box Theatre will present a collection of stories from all around the world for audiences of all ages. Four morning performances will be offered for visiting schools, and an evening performance at 6:30 p.m. April 18 will be open to the public. Admission is $2 per person. Children ages 3 and under are free.

Springfield-Washington County Economic Development Authority has donated $1,000 to Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Springfield campus to support a new welding for maintenance class. The gift will help ECTC offer local training opportunities in career paths that are growing in the region, building a stronger, highly skilled workforce.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural ECTC Giving Day on April 25 during Community College Month. The event will support student needs such as scholarships, transportation assistance and the Student Emergency Fund, among others.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s (ECTC) diesel technology program continues to meet the requirements for Master Truck Service Technology, the highest level of program accreditation recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). To achieve this coveted recognition, ECTC’s diesel technology training program underwent rigorous evaluation by the ASE Education Foundation. Nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities and equipment were used.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) is making the transition to college even easier for high school seniors with ECTC Senior Days. The events, held at high schools throughout the college’s service region, allow students to meet with academic advisors and student support staff one-on-one to get answers to any questions and enroll in Fall 2024 classes.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) has made the 2024 list of Best Places to Work in Kentucky, announced by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM). ECTC participates biennially and has earned the designation three consecutive times — 2020, 2022 and 2024.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) advanced manufacturing students as well as visiting high school students had an opportunity to make one-on-one connections with more than a dozen employers during Advanced Manufacturing Career Days, held Wednesday and Thursday at the college.
