Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) Workforce Solutions will again offer Korean Culture and Korean Conversation classes through the college’s community education program. The Korean Culture class will be held from 2-4 p.m. March 13 and 20 or 6-8 p.m. April 9 and 11. The Korean Conversation class will be held from 2-4 p.m. April 17 and 24 or 6-8 p.m. May 7 and 9. Both classes will be in room 112 in the James S. Owen building on ECTC’s main campus.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) will recognize eight alumni and two retired employees for their exemplary work at the annual Profiles of Excellence celebration. The Distinguished Alumni program has now recognized the academic, professional and humanitarian endeavors of 154 former students. Those recognized this year include John DeRamos, Dr. Jennifer L. Greer, Kelly Renee Griner, Monica Bishop Heavrin, Amanda Johnston, Damon Lasley III, Daniel London and Chad Sarver. Names and photos of this year’s honorees will join others in the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, on display in the atrium of the Regional Postsecondary Center on ECTC’s main campus.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) celebrated nine area leaders at the 2024 Beacon of Light Awards, which honor African Americans in the college’s 10-county service area for their successes, exemplary service to their professions and communities, and their commitment to servant leadership and equity. The sixth annual award ceremony, sponsored by Abound Credit Union, was held Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at the Elizabethtown campus.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC), Family Scholar House and BlueOval SK are joining forces to construct the brand-new BlueOval SK Family Services Building at the Family Scholar House ECTC Campus in Hardin County. Fueled by a five-year, $500,000 total pledge from BlueOval SK, the facility will provide much-needed wrap around services to help local families achieve academic, personal and professional success.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) released new data today that quantifies the significant financial and societal impact the college has on the economic vitality of citizens and the region. The independent study found that ECTC generated $176.5 million in added income in its service area during fiscal year 2022-23. The ECTC service area is comprised of Breckinridge, Green, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, Taylor and Washington counties.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) recently received a Tree Campus Higher Education designation through the Arbor Day Foundation. It is one of only 14 colleges and universities in Kentucky to earn this distinction, and one of more than 400 nationwide.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) announced today that West Point Bank and Brandenburg Telephone Company have each donated $125,000 to support the Home for Hope campaign to build an on-campus Family Scholar House facility for student parents attending ECTC.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) celebrated its 59th commencement Monday at Grace Heartland Church in Elizabethtown, marking the college’s first December graduation ceremonies. ECTC expects to award about 580 degrees and 480 certificates to 500 students who completed their academic programs in Summer and Fall 2023. Monday, more than 100 students and hundreds of their guests attended the ceremonies.
