FSH at ECTC to host clothing and food giveaway

Family Scholar House at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host a free food and clothing pop-up shop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 on the Elizabethtown campus. The distribution, held in the college’s Student Success Hub in the Academic Technical Building, will include clothing of various sizes and food items such as chicken, fresh produce, bakery items and more. 

“The Student Success Hub provides a variety of services and resources to help students achieve their goals and succeed, both academically and non-academically,” said ECTC Director of Student Success Benjamin Whitlock. “Family Scholar House, and these food and clothing giveaways, are essential to that mission.” 

The pop-up shop begins at 10 a.m. for current students and will open to the public at 11 a.m. More than 5,000 pounds of food will be distributed, and items are available while supplies last. Attendees are asked to come prepared with bags and coolers for items.
