Summer 2024 financial aid is based on the 2023-2024 FAFSA. Offers are calculated and disbursed using the ECTC academic calendar.
Important Refund Information
The Financial Aid Office cannot guarantee the arrival or disbursement of funds. The dates below represent the earliest date funds can be applied to your account. All dates are tentative and subject to change. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid at least 3 months prior to the start of the semester.
Disbursements of financial aid may be delayed, reduced and/or cancelled based on recorded student attendance in class. A student must attend class to establish eligibility for pending financial aid offers.
Refund - the release of residual funds to the student's selected refund preference with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. More information about refunds is available at Refund Choices.
summer 2024 Refund Dates
Summer refunds will follow the schedule below. Attendance in each class must be confirmed before disbursement of grants will begin. Classes must be required for your ECTC program plan to be aid eligible.
Classes with a later start date will result in a later disbursement of financial aid.
Summer loans are sent out in two disbursements.

Summer 2024 Bookstore Charge Dates

NOTE:
- Students who do not have enough aid to cover tuition plus books will not be able to charge books.
- Students who are not meeting SAP will not be able to charge books.
- Students who are on a SAP Warning status will not be able to charge books until after the SAP review is completed (normally 10-14 days after the end of the prior semester)
Please Remember: Students who have a completed financial aid file with ECTC, which includes anticipated financial aid amounts sufficient to cover tuition, fees and expected bookstore expenses, may be allowed to charge their books and supplies using the KCTCS/Barnes & Noble bookstore.
