Tuition Refund Information

FALL 2018

Financial aid is based on the 2018-2019 FAFSA. Awards are calculated and disbursed using the ECTC calendar.

Important Refund Information

The Financial Aid Office cannot guarantee the arrival or disbursement of funds. The dates below represent the earliest date funds can be applied to your account. All dates are tentative and subject to change. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid at least 3 months prior to the start of the semester.

Disbursements of financial aid may be delayed, reduced and/or cancelled based on recorded student attendance in class. A student must attend class to establish eligibility for pending financial aid awards.

Refund - the release of residual funds to the student's Optional BankMobile Vibe Account. More information about refunds is available at Refund Choices.

FALL 2018 Refund Dates

Summer refunds will follow the schedule below.  Attendance in each class must be confirmed before disbursement of grants will begin.

Classes with a later start date will result in a later disbursement of financial aid.

 16 Week refunds begin (session starts 08/13/18)  09/06/18

NOTE: 

  • Students who do not have enough aid to cover tuition plus books will not be able to charge books.
  • Students who are not meeting SAP will not be able to charge books.
  • Students who are on a SAP Warning status will not be able to charge books until after the SAP review is completed (normally 10-14 days after the end of the semester) 

Please Remember: Students who have a completed financial aid file with ECTC, which includes anticipated financial aid amounts sufficient to cover tuition, fees and expected bookstore expenses, may be allowed to charge their books and supplies using the KCTCS/Barnes & Noble bookstore processes provided there is a Bookstore Release on file in the financial aid office.
