WHAT ARE APPRENTICESHIPS?
Apprenticeships are a combination of on-the-job training and related coursework in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation. Apprenticeship programs can be sponsored by individual employers, joint employer and labor groups, and/or employer associations.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) offers an Associate in Applied Science - Apprenticeship Studies Program. The AAS in Apprenticeship Studies is designed to complement specialized study in a national or state-approved apprentice curriculum. A prerequisite of completion of a national/state certified apprenticeship program exists.
