Family Scholar House at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host a free food and clothing pop-up shop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 on the Elizabethtown campus. The distribution, held in the college’s Student Success Hub in the Academic Technical Building, will include clothing of various sizes and food items such as chicken, fresh produce, bakery items and more.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Office of Cultural Diversity invites the community to attend the 2024 Multi-Cultural Fair, an event filled with international food, music, performers and more. The event, held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 in the courtyard of the James S. Owen building on the college’s main campus, is free and open to the public.
All new and prospective students are invited to attend Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Open House Days from 12-6 p.m. every Tuesday in July. 
Marty L. Sutherland, professor of engineering and electronics technology at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, was selected the new occupational, technical education faculty regent to the KCTCS Board of Regents.
During a surprise event at North Hardin High School, college coach Annette Neblett was announced as the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College 2024 High School Teacher/Counselor Pathfinder Award recipient. Established by the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, the Pathfinder Award recognizes high school teachers and counselors for their outstanding efforts in assisting students with their college-going plans. 
Today, Gov. Andy Beshear joined business and community leaders to cut the ribbon on a center that will train Kentuckians for new jobs at the BlueOval SK Battery Park, which is creating 5,000 new jobs. The park is located in Glendale and contains the two largest battery plants in the world.
The Governor said BlueOval SK has already hired more than 700 employees in Kentucky at all experience levels, and the 42,000-square-foot ECTC BlueOval SK Training Center will start onboarding classes in June. Officials from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC), BlueOval SK, SK On, Ford Motor Co. and Trace Creek Construction, as well as state legislators and ECTC students, joined the Governor to cut the ribbon.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College celebrated its Spring 2024 graduation on Monday with approximately 200 graduates and hundreds of guests attending.
“All of our Spring 2024 graduates have achieved an incredible goal, and they have not only changed their lives for the better, but they also are lifting up their families and their communities,” said ECTC President Dr. Juston Pate. “Whether they are entering the workforce and starting a high-demand career or continuing their education, we look forward to seeing the Class of 2024 pursue their dreams and become part of the next generation of leaders in our region.”
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s popular summer Kids College returns for another week of fun-filled learning for students who have completed first grade through eighth grade. 
Four Elizabethtown Community and Technical College students participated in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas, April 29 – May 1. This marks the eighth consecutive year for ECTC students to compete in the prestigious event.
