Now in its 18th year, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Distinguished Alumni program has celebrated the accomplishments of 146 outstanding former students and graduates. These leaders have made noteworthy contributions to their professions and communities, expanding ECTC’s impact across the country. Nominees are now being sought for induction into the 2024 class of honorees.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) will host Express Enrollment from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11 for Fall 2023 classes that begin Oct. 16, 2023.

High school students with an interest in advanced technical careers are invited to Gearing Up, a career exploration event at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC). The event is 4-6 p.m. Oct. 18. Parents are encouraged to attend as well.

The community is invited to help Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) students and their families celebrate Thanksgiving again this year through the Family Scholar House Thanksgiving Meal Drive. This is the second year for the drive, which served 65 ECTC students and families last year. Donations will be accepted Oct. 4 to Nov. 8 at various locations throughout Hardin County, with a goal to serve at least 100 students this year.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) will award $5,000 in scholarships through the Metallica Scholars Initiative this academic year to students in advanced manufacturing programs. Scholarship recipients, or “Metallica Scholars of the Month,” will be selected based on faculty recommendations throughout the year.

Elizabethtown Mayor Jeff Gregory on Tuesday received the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College President’s Pathfinder Award in recognition of his impact in the community. ECTC established the award to recognize college partners whose leadership has created paths to better lives throughout our region.

As ECTC begins a busy fall semester, FSH is working with students who need assistance to succeed in their classes. Volunteers provide important services for the organization, which frees up the FSH staff to work directly with students on the life issues that can be overwhelming. FSH needs volunteers with a variety of skills and interests who can work either on a regular basis or for special events or projects. Scheduling is very flexible.
