Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) is now registering students for Smarter Summer, a program designed to help new students get ready for college. Funded by a $50,000 summer bridge programming grant from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), Smarter Summer will provide a variety of services to new and readmitted college students of any age.

Professor Tim Cordova started a new chapter in his career this year as he became Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Technical Division Chair, turning more of his attention to serving fellow faculty members and addressing the needs of about 10 academic programs. While he’s proud to represent technical faculty as a division chair and to have a role in broader college initiatives, teaching remains the most rewarding part of the job.

With the steel framing of the upcoming 42,000-square-foot training facility already visible on the horizon, Gov. Andy Beshear today joined officials from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC), BlueOval SK and Ford Motor Co. to officially break ground on the ECTC BlueOval SK Training Center in Glendale.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Military and Veteran Services has a vision. “This is a place veteran and dependent students can go to and be cared for and feel included. It’s a place where they feel comfortable and get answers to all their questions,” said Director of Military and Veteran Services Tabbi Stutzenberger.
